How Microsoft Purview paves the way to Copilot
20th May 2025
IRMS Conference - Birmingham
During this session, Rob discusses the path to launching Microsoft Copilot in your tenant and outlines some of the various Microsoft 365 tools that can be helpful along the way. The presentation introduces the ‘three pillars’ to focus on, when moving towards Copilot, emphasising how ensuring appropriate access restrictions needs to be combined with both retention and robust user guidance if you want to get the most out of the AI. The session centres on providing an overview of capabilities found in both Microsoft Purview and in the SharePoint Advanced Management (SAM) suite, which are important to make use of in advance of the launch of Copilot. Rob argues that the adoption of Copilot might be present a unique opportunity to improve Information Governance in your tenant (by stealth).
